> Discovery District Rebrands as Discovery District MarylandWith this renaming of Discovery District Maryland, we are actively building a dedicated team focused on place-based activation and programming to support existing companies and attract new ones. We are also excited the launch of a dedicated website for Discovery District Maryland and unveil a new logo and related branding.

<span>The past year has been an exceptional one for the University’s research park and innovation hub, which has experienced significant growth across the community:</span>

- *<span>New Tenants</span>*<span>: Welcome **Microsoft, IQM, Quantum Motion, and VentureX.**</span>
- *New Facilities*: <span>Broke ground on a 110,000-square-foot home for **ARLIS** and</span> c<span>ompleted the development of **Discovery House**, a dedicated graduate student housing project.</span>
- *<span>State Investment</span>*<span>: The State of Maryland provided funding to fortify the Discovery District as the epicenter of the **Capital of Quantum** ecosystem.</span>

<span>And next month, the Discovery District will host **Quantum World Congress** at The Hotel at the University of Maryland, bringing together more than 1,000 quantum leaders, experts</span>, policymakers, scholars, industry partners, investors, and entrepreneurs from around the world.  
  
<span>Set in motion two decades ago, the vision for this intentional place-making initiative - </span>*<span>**to create a vibrant, dynamic, and inclusive community that leverages the strengths of the University and its proximity to the capital region's assets to provide positive impact for society by accelerating life-saving breakthroughs and beneficial applications of technology to scale transformation and generate economic prosperity for residents of Maryland**</span>*<span> - is an aspirational vision within reach thanks to the unwavering support of the State over the past twenty years.</span>

<span>In recognition of our shared commitment to accelerate and expand the economic impact of the Discovery District, it is with immense pride that the name of this community be entwined as one and henceforward be called </span>[<span>**Discovery District Maryland**</span>](https://discoverydistrictmd.org/)<span>.</span>
